Position: Inspection Technician Location: Chester, UK Job Description: As an Inspection Technician at Vector Inspection, you will play a vital role in executing pipeline and furnace inspections within the oil & gas and energy sectors using our state-of-the-art ultrasonic (UT) smart pigs inspection equipment. Responsibilities: Perform inspections on pipelines using UT smart pigs inspection equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Set up and calibrate inspection equipment, including UT smart pigs instruments. Interpret and analyse inspection data to identify defects, anomalies, or areas of concern in pipelines. Generate detailed inspection reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Collaborate with teams to develop and implement inspection plans and strategies. Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements related to pipeline inspections. Participate in training programs and continuous learning activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Minimum 2-year degree or technical certificate in electronic, industrial, or mechanical discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience with electrical circuit maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Familiarity with oscilloscopes and UT smart pigs testing equipment. Oil and gas industry experience is a plus. Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal). Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent organisational skills and a professional attitude. Ability to travel as needed for project assignments. Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a team environment. Physical ability to work in various conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
